Programs
The following represents some of the programs and events the BLG has spearheaded over the years.
We hope that law students and attorneys of color will take advantage of the various resources the BLG offers. Active participation is instrumental in helping to facilitate robust community building and inclusivity.
2024 Summer Internship Program for Undergrads

2023 1L Diversity Clerkship (JD25)
BLG member organizations offer summer clerkships for first year law students. Selected students who have just completed their 1L year typically spend the summer working with a member law firm and government agency, split by clerking five weeks in the private sector and five weeks in the public sector. This year the BLG is offering several nine and ten week clerkships with BLG member organizations.
Virtual Summer Series 2021
The BLG will be offering a 10-week Virtual Summer Series in place of our standard Summer Internship program. The series will include virtual events with industry leaders focused on advancing skills that will acclimate undergraduate students in the process of applying to law school, the day-to-day life of senior and junior associates, legal/LSAT writing workshops, virtual networking events, and much more.
Mentor Program
Mentor Program provides students of color with the opportunity to develop a relationship with an experienced practitioner from a BLG participating member organization.
Mock Interview Program
This program allows first, second, and third-year law students to practice their interviewing skills through two 20-minute interviews conducted by a practicing attorney, followed by one-on-one feedback.
