The BLG Summer Internship Program supports the pipeline of undergraduate college students historically underrepresented in law school by connecting applicants from diverse backgrounds with summer internship opportunities at BLG member law firms and organizations. Students’ application materials will be forwarded to employer partners by the BLG. Employer partners will contact students directly if selected for an interview. If hired, students will become temporary employees of the partner organization for ten weeks during the summer. Students will also participate in professional and social activities designed to build their legal knowledge and immerse them in life as a lawyer in the dynamic city of Boston. This highly successful pipeline program seeks to immerse college students from diverse backgrounds to a career in law.
Program Overview
Selected students will be contacted and interviewed by participating BLG Member firms and hired to work in their law firm or corporate office for a ten-week paid internship. To further enhance the summer experience, BLG members are encouraged to provide interns with professional and social activities designed to highlight the benefits of considering a career in law. Students will be taken on law school tours and will have the opportunity to meet with lawyers in different practice settings.
Please note: this program is currently paused due to the limited number of employers for summer 2026. Please stay tuned for information about virtual program opportunities for college students to learn about the law and the path to law school.
